2025 Land Rover Defender D350
Land Rover has introduced an upgraded diesel engine for the Defender, replacing the previous D300 with the more powerful D350. The new 3.0-litre six-cylinder twin-turbo diesel now produces 257 kW, an increase of 36 kW over its predecessor, while torque has been boosted by 50 Nm to 700 Nm.
This enhancement improves the Defender’s performance across various driving conditions, making overtaking, towing, and off-road driving easier. The new engine is also designed to meet stringent emissions standards, with a lightweight construction that contributes to better fuel efficiency without compromising power. Advanced engineering refinements reduce friction, vibration, and noise, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable driving experience.

Alongside the engine upgrade, Land Rover recently introduced additional updates to the Defender range. The Defender 130 now offers an optional Captain Chairs pack, which adds individual second-row seats separated by an aisle for easier access to the third row. These seats come with heating and cooling functions, enhancing passenger comfort.
Another addition is the Signature Interior Pack, which is available across all Defender body styles. Standard on the high-end Defender X and V8 models and optional on the Defender Dynamic HSE, this pack enhances the cabin with upgraded materials and features.
Front-row occupants benefit from 14-way electrically adjustable seats with heating, cooling, and memory functions, while second-row seats include climate control and winged headrests (on the Defender 110 and 130 models). Heated third-row seats further improve comfort in colder conditions.
Material upgrades include Windsor Leather and KvadratTM upholstery in Ebony or Caraway/Ebony, as well as New UltrafabricsTM in a Light Cloud/Lunar colourway. These improvements reinforce the Defender’s reputation for rugged capability combined with premium refinement.
