2025 Ford Tourneo Custum Sport
The Ford Transit Custom Sport injects a healthy dose of personality into the Transit Custom range, bringing a blend of practicality and dynamic styling to an already capable workhorse. As the short wheelbase variant in the line-up, it balances versatility, efficiency, and just the right amount of sporty flair.
Ford says the Sport variant is designed for business owners and lifestyle enthusiasts who want both practicality and a head-turning design. With its sport body kit, honeycomb grille, and dual racing stripes stretching over the length of the van, it proudly stands out from the crowd. The 17-inch matte black alloy wheels complete the look, ensuring that this van makes an impression wherever it goes.

Inside, the Transit Custom Sport continues its upscale approach. The cabin features sport trim with blue accent stripes on the seats, which also offer heating functionality. The driver’s seat gets a 6-way power adjustment, while the passenger seat features 4-way manual adjustment, both with dual armrests for extra comfort.
Ford has gone the extra mile in making this a van that feels premium while remaining highly practical. The dashboard is dominated by a 13-inch touchscreen running Ford’s SYNC 4 system, offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a 12-inch instrument cluster with an eight-inch configurable display.

Storage Space Galore
Storage is well thought out, catering to busy professionals on the move. There’s an under-seat stowage compartment, a dashboard compartment big enough for a laptop or A4 file, and conveniently placed USB-A and USB-C ports. An optional tilting steering wheel can double as a stand for laptops and tablets or even a makeshift table for paperwork or lunch breaks.
The short wheelbase configuration means the Transit Custom Sport measures 5 050 mm in length, with a load compartment stretching 2 602 mm up to the bulkhead. With a 5.8 m3 cargo volume and a payload of up to 1 023 kg, it can easily accommodate three standard Euro pallets. Accessibility is made simple with twin 180-degree opening rear barn doors and dual soft-close sliding side doors, which can be opened using the remote, dashboard buttons, or door handles.
The cargo area also benefits from six tie-down loops, LED lighting, and a full-height protection kit to ensure durability.

Trusted Engine
Under the hood, the Transit Custom Sport packs an updated 2.0-litre Single Turbo EcoBlue diesel engine, producing 125 kW and 390 Nm of torque – 25 kW and 30 Nm more than the Base model. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, with selectable drive modes including Normal, Eco, Slippery, Tow/Haul, and a Sport mode for a more engaging drive.
A 55-litre fuel tank and a 20-litre AdBlue tank contribute to cleaner emissions and extended range.
Ford has equipped the Transit Custom Sport with a comprehensive set of safety features, including ABS, Electronic Stability Programme, Traction Control, Hill Launch Assist, and Pre-Collision Assist with Autonomous Emergency Braking.
Driver aids such as Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, and a 180-degree rear camera enhance convenience and security. The van also features six airbags, keyless entry, a Thatcham Category 1 alarm, and remote vehicle tracking via the FordPass app.

Pricing and Warranty
For peace of mind, the Transit Custom Sport comes with a four-year/120 000 km warranty, a six-year/90 000 km Ford Optional Service Plan, and a five-year unlimited distance corrosion warranty. Service intervals are set at 15 000 km or annually, and owners can extend coverage up to eight years or 165 000 km.
At R938 000, the Transit Custom Sport is more than just a van – it’s a stylish, well-equipped, and highly capable vehicle that meets the needs of both business and lifestyle users.
