New Opel Corsa rocks up in the South African market

The new Opel Corsa is more modern and more digital than ever.

The all-new Opel Corsa combines modern design with advanced technology, making it a standout in the small car segment. Since its debut in 1982, the Corsa has been a popular choice, and the sixth generation continues to impress drivers in Germany, the UK, and South Africa.

With a fresh design and cutting-edge features, the new Corsa caters to both young drivers and those young at heart. The car comes in three trim levels: the entry-level Lite, the Edition, and the top-tier GS Line. Each model offers a distinct set of features to meet various needs.

The Corsa’s exterior features Opel’s distinctive Vizor front end, sleek LED headlights, and stylish 16-inch alloy wheels. The GS Line stands out with bi-colour diamond cut wheels and black accents. The car’s aerodynamic design, with a drag coefficient of 0.29, enhances both performance and fuel efficiency.

Inside, the new Corsa boasts an upgraded infotainment system with Opel’s Pure Panel and a 10-inch IntelliLink touchscreen on higher trims. The Lite model includes a 3.5-inch digital instrument cluster, while other trims get a 7-inch display. The GS Line also offers heated front seats and a redesigned steering wheel for added comfort.

Safety and convenience are key aspects of the new Corsa. Standard features include front and rear electric windows, air conditioning, and Active Lane Keep Assist. The Edition trim adds parking sensors, Side Blind Zone Alert, and traffic sign recognition. The GS Line comes packed with additional features like automatic climate control and an electric parking brake.

The legendary Corsa Lite, popular in South Africa, has returned with modern updates. The Lite model now features a turbocharged 1.2-litre engine producing 74kW/205Nm, shared with the Edition version. The GS Line is equipped with a 96kW/230Nm engine, providing a lively driving experience.
