Sonderwunsch Porsche 911 Dakar
In November 2024, Porsche concluded the production of its limited-run 911 Dakar by unveiling a unique, one-off model crafted through its Sonderwunsch (Special Request) program. This bespoke vehicle was commissioned by an Italian sports car collector and was handed over at Porsche’s Zuffenhausen plant, marking a significant milestone in the 911 Dakar’s journey.

A Tribute to Rally Heritage
The 911 Dakar itself is a nod to Porsche’s illustrious rally history, particularly the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally victory. This special edition elevates that tribute with a meticulously hand-painted, three-tone livery. The upper section gleams in Signal Yellow, transitioning to Gentian Blue Metallic on the lower portion. These two primary colours are elegantly divided by a fine line in Lampedusa Blue, a new shade developed in collaboration with the owner and named after the Italian Mediterranean island.

Attention to Detail
The bespoke design extends beyond the bodywork. The alloy wheels feature spokes painted in Signal Yellow, with rim edges in Lampedusa Blue, creating a harmonious connection with the exterior. The LED Matrix headlights are accentuated with rings in Lampedusa Blue, adding a distinctive touch to the vehicle’s front profile. Stainless steel protective elements on the front, rear, and sills are finished in black, enhancing the car’s rugged yet refined appearance.
Inside, the customization continues with Speed Yellow stitching and trim accents adorning the dashboard, centre console, and door panels. The ‘911 Dakar’ logo is embroidered in Speed Yellow on the headrests of the Sports Seats Plus, and the gear selector for the eight-speed PDK transmission features a Speed Yellow leather insert. Upon opening the doors, LED projectors cast the Sonderwunsch logo onto the ground, underscoring the vehicle’s exclusivity.

A Fitting Finale
This one-of-a-kind 911 Dakar not only celebrates the end of the model’s production run but also exemplifies Porsche’s dedication to personalisation and craftsmanship. Through the Sonderwunsch program, Porsche enables enthusiasts to transform their vehicles into personal masterpieces, reflecting individual tastes and passions. This final 911 Dakar stands as a testament to that philosophy, blending performance, heritage, and bespoke artistry into a singular automotive expression.
