Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the all-new C 63 S E Performance, marking a significant leap forward in hybrid performance technology.
This latest iteration of the C 63 series integrates a potent hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with an Electric Drive Unit (EDU) mounted on the rear axle. The setup not only enhances overall performance but also ensures a balanced weight distribution, thereby optimizing handling and driving dynamics.
A standout feature of the C 63 S E Performance is its introduction of the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system, which allows for variable power distribution to all wheels. This includes a Drift Mode, promising enthusiasts an exhilarating driving experience with enhanced control and agility.
Further enhancing its agility is the inclusion of active rear-axle steering, a rare addition in this segment that underscores Mercedes-AMG’s commitment to cutting-edge technology.

Powering this model is a robust hybrid system boasting a total output of 500kW and a formidable 1 020Nm of torque. The integration of a 150kW electric motor and a high-performance battery pack enhances both acceleration and efficiency. Acceleration from 0 to 100km/h takes a mere 3.4 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 280km/h (optional AMG Driver’s Package).
Muscular proportions
Visually, the C 63 S E Performance sets itself apart with muscular proportions and distinctive design elements. Notably, a narrow air outlet on the bonnet and AMG-specific grille and front apron emphasize its sporty demeanour. The exterior dimensions have been modified significantly from the standard C-Class, offering a more imposing presence on the road.
The interior of the C 63 S E Performance blends sportiness with luxury, featuring AMG sports seats, exclusive upholstery options, and advanced technologies tailored to enhance driver comfort and engagement. Optional enhancements include the second-generation AMG Performance seat with improved ventilation and weight-saving features.
F1 Edition
In addition to the standard model, Mercedes-AMG introduces the special edition ‘F1 Edition’, available for a limited time. This variant boasts distinctive styling cues such as the MANUFAKTUR alpine grey uni paint finish, highlighted by foiling featuring the iconic AMG logo and a striking red trim. The interior continues the theme with black and red contrast, complemented by AMG Performance seats and carbon trim elements.
The ‘F1 Edition’ also incorporates the AMG Aerodynamics Package for enhanced high-speed stability and a more aggressive aesthetic. This package includes a larger front splitter and a rear spoiler lip (Saloon only), among other aerodynamic enhancements. Exclusive AMG Night Packages further elevate its motorsport-inspired appearance, featuring gloss-black accents throughout the exterior.
Each ‘F1 Edition’ comes equipped with 20-inch AMG forged wheels, painted in matte black with red rim flanges, echoing the design of the Official FIA F1 Medical Car. Inside, special touches include illuminated AMG lettering on the door sill trims and bespoke floor mats with F1 logos.
