Mal Kamper

Mal Kamper has been a huge hit, and its second season even more!

The popular television series, Mal Kamper, has been a roaring success. Presented by traveler and outdoor junkie Dewald Visser, the series explores the most rugged and desolate parts of South Africa, taking viewers on magical journeys.

But one of Mal Kamper’s biggest sponsors, Dunlop Tyres, have extended their relationship with Dewald and the series, sending the kitted to some of the most challenging-to-reach places.

Sumitomo Rubber South Africa (SRSA), which manufactures and distributes the iconic Dunlop tyre brand, is a strong supporter of South Africa’s tourism sector, encouraging locals to take the road and explore all that the country has to offer.

CEO Lubin Ozoux said: “We were thrilled to continue our partnership with Mal Kamper for a second season. As a brand, Dunlop has always been passionate about adventure and the great outdoors, and we believe that Mal Kamper perfectly embodies this spirit of adventure.

“We loved seeing our Grandtrek AT5 tyres put to the test as Dewald took on some of the most challenging roads and off-road terrain in the country.”

Adventure awaits

Mal Kamper made its debut on kykNet in 2022, with the 13-episode second season launching a year later. The series has hit it off with the channel’s viewers as they follow the inquisitive Dewald across the country.

For Season 2, Dewald continued in the all-conquering Jimny, but added a quadbike to his fleet. He and the team traversed to and through some of South Africa’s most stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and breathtaking natural beauty.

From overlanding in remote locations, to river adventures, desert escapades, off-road cuisine and getting the adrenaline pumping with some exhilarating outdoor activities, Dewald and his Jimny, fitted with Dunlop’s Grandtrek tyres, took on snow, water, mud, sand and mountains with ease.
