There is no denying that AKA’s death, real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, was untimely. Rumours and speculations are rife, and everyone has their suspects and reasons why he was murdered.
The tributes have been pouring in, and his family acknowledges the impact Kiernan has had on people’s lives.
“We thank you for the love and support we have received thus far, and ask you continue to keep us in your prayers and uplifted in the Lord,” his parents Tony and Lynn said in an official release.
The collection
Though it’s still raw, did you know that the rapper was quite a petrol head?
Yup, he owned several vehicles, though most are German and from Munich: BMW. The collection of Munich’s best includes an i8 – an impressive hybrid sportscar – an X6 M, X7 M50i, a 7 Series, and X6 M (full spec, according to an Instagram post).
According to unconfirmed reports, Supa Mega also owned a Porsche 911. It is unknown if the rapper had more cars in his collection.

The rapper was also not afraid to splurge on rental vehicles, with his favour often leaning towards Lamborghinis and Ferraris. He once rented a Lamborghini for a few days for him and his father to drive around Johannesburg with.
With a net worth of $15 million (R269 million, estimated), AKA could have easily bought several Ferraris and Lambos, but if you knew about him, there was no need to flaunt the lavish lifestyle with an exotic Italian sportscar.
The rapper was 35-years-old at the time of his death, and leaves behind his parents, brother, and a daughter, Kairo, he has with former partner, DJ Zinhle. He was dating Nadia Nakai, who was in Johannesburg while Kiernan was in Durban where he was shot.
